Office Supplies is the supply of most of the office stationary which includes mainly the office machinery used, the furniture used in the office and the other facilities in the offices are known as the office supplies. It includes different equipments like pen, pencil, eraser, and marker, computer, punching machine, stapler, chairs, sofas, tables and others.
They all are provided by different suppliers on credit or on cash. Their suppliers are mostly the forest owners which give the wood of their trees to the woodcutters which further convert that wood into pencils, papers, file and folders etc. The erasers are also a part of trees and are sold by the same supplier. Other than that, all the furniture used is also got from the same supplier. In 1999, the office supply industry worth $255 billion. The industry is going higher and higher. In United States, the most profitable companies of this business are “Staples”, “OfficeMax” and “Office Depot”. They are working so far for the business as well as for the establishing the relationship with the public or customers. They are going for the corporate social responsibility in order to build Personal relationships or Public relationships so that they may set a positive effect in the mind of the public. As the public will be aware of their goods with the society, they will surely prefer to buy from that company. Office Supplies include furniture which must be well furnished so the company’s image may give a good view the people having an outer credibility. The company must itself be very responsible and open eyed that it should know what is given to them and on what terms! The company should first see the quotations of the suppliers so that they cannot be deceived and get their office supplies on low raters
